About The Position

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is seeking a temporary full-time RN Traveler for the Med/Surg Unit on the Day shift. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of patients. Requirements

  • AT LEAST 2 yrs of RECENT bedside acute hospital RN experience in Med/Surg
  • Current BLS
  • RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
  • RN Degree: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN

  • Ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health
