About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) Traveler specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Ascension acute care hospitals. The position involves both local and national travel options, with a focus on surgical services within the Associate Travel Program. The schedule is for day shifts, 40 hours per week, with a gross rate up to $3,889 per week.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must have compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
One year of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
1+ year of acute care experience
Applicable license and/or certification per contract requirements required

Responsibilities

Expertly scrub or circulate for open-heart cases, including CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissections, and heart transplants.
Maintain rigorous aseptic technique and manage complex sterile setups for cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) procedures.
Proficiently manage specialized CVOR technology, including cell savers, specialized sutures, and intraoperative bypass monitoring.
Facilitate rapid-response interventions for massive hemorrhage or emergency cannulation during intraoperative cardiac arrest.
