About The Position

This is a travel RN position in Critical Care - ICU at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, TX. The role involves managing complex patient care in a critical care setting, operating life-sustaining equipment, and leading emergency interventions. Multiple shifts are available with a work schedule of 36-48 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must have compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
  • One year of RN experience in an acute care setting required.

Nice To Haves

  • ASW utilizes Cerner Powerchart for inpatient units.
  • Potential to float to acute care unit or ED if need is greater.
  • Prefer knowledge of CRRT, CABG, Trauma (TCAR/TNCC), Impella, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Titrate high-alert vasoactive drips and manage invasive monitoring like arterial and central lines.
  • Manage complex mechanical ventilation, including troubleshooting, ABG analysis, and weaning protocols.
  • Operate life-sustaining equipment such as CRRT, Impella, and IABP for multi-organ failure.
  • Lead Rapid Response and Code Blue interventions using expert-level ACLS/BLS protocols.
