About The Position

20 bed PCU specializes in the care of trauma surgery patients. Four beds in this unit are dedicated for an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and two beds are equipped for Chronic Ventilator patients. The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
None (Experience).
Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
AHA BLS-HCP required.
Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.
For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.
