Be part of something new at H60, a 50-bed Trauma Acute Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus that will play an integral role in the growth of the emerging trauma program. This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to help shape a brand-new unit, build a strong team culture, and deliver exceptional care to patients throughout their recovery. The unit will initially care for a medical-surgical population before transitioning into its long-term role as a dedicated Trauma Acute Care Unit. H60 offers an environment where nurses can make an immediate impact while developing specialized expertise in trauma and acute care. With the opportunity to help establish the foundation of a new unit and grow alongside an evolving program, this is more than a nursing role. It’s an opportunity to be part of something that is just getting started and helping shape what comes next. A caregiver in this position works a day/night rotation from 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday requirement.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of current acute care RN experience
  • Will consider military RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
