About The Position

A Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care. This professional nursing role will require the ability to coordinate care for patients, triage patients, and work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Will analyze more complex and ongoing patient assessments and data to identify patient needs. The RN will assist individual patients, their families, and providers in developing the plan of care to meet patients’, their families’, and practitioners’ needs by prioritizing multiple nursing diagnoses and collaborative medical problems in to the POC. The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care for patients in within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards. The RN is responsible to adhere to the standard of care defined by UAMS, ANA, and Standards for specialty patient population with support and mentoring by other team members. Collects and documents assessment data. Develops a Plan of Care (POC) per standard. Implements POC including medical order and interdisciplinary approach. Evaluates the progress of patient toward attainment of desired outcomes. Provides effective patient/family education/discharge planning. May perform other duties as assigned. Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associate Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor’s in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
Valid RN License.
One (1) year of Registered Nursing direct patient care experience.
Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Strong work ethics and accountability.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

National Certification
BSN or MSN
Two (2) or more years of nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in an acute care setting such as a teaching hospital
