RN Transition Unit - Full Time (Night Shift)
About The Position
Sentara Health is seeking an RN for its Observation/Transitional Care Unit. The Obs/Transitional Care Unit is a 9-bed short stay unit used to care for med-surg patients who will be discharged within 24-48 hours. This position is Full Time and Night Shift. The role involves assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating plans of care for specific patient populations. It also includes coordinating and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfer, and coordinating and communicating the capacity management plan to nursing units, leadership team, and physicians. The RN must possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards of care as required by patient populations.
Requirements
- RN Licensure - Virginia Required
- BSN, RN-Associate's Degree OR RN-Diploma Required
Nice To Haves
- Two years of nursing experience Preferred
- Previous acute care experience Preferred
Responsibilities
