About The Position

This 100-bed hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County. Here, you will work alongside passionate physicians, nurses and other caregivers in a family-oriented, supportive environment. Martin South Hospital’s Telemetry Unit cares for cardiac patients and monitors their heart rhythm. As an RN on the team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will care for patients through assessments, performing wound care and dressing changes, passing medication and more, all while fostering strong connections with patients and families. Here, you will be part of a team that feels like family and have a true impact on patient care. Additionally, you will be able to develop your nursing skills with each interaction, which can lead to growth within the unit or other areas of the hospital. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
