About The Position

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry at a 32-bed Cardiovascular Care Unit. The average patient ratio is 3-5 patients, depending on acuity and shift. Charting is done via Epic. The nurse may be required to float to other departments based on competency and facility needs. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with approximately 5-6 weekend shifts in an 8-week period. There is no scheduled call, but the nurse may be placed on call if the hospital does not need additional staff.

Requirements

• 1+ year of RN experience with telemetry or higher acuity experience
• EKG competency and rhythm interpretation required
• Active single-state or Compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a 32-bed Cardiovascular Care Unit.
• Manage a patient ratio of 3-5 patients, depending on acuity and shift.
• Utilize Epic for charting.
• Float to other departments based on competency and facility needs.
• Work approximately 5-6 weekend shifts in an 8-week period.
