About The Position

CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota, and several critical access hospitals and clinics throughout western and central North Dakota. They offer a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services. CHI St. Alexius Health is part of CommonSpirit Health, a nonprofit, Catholic health system dedicated to advancing health for all people. This is a full-time opportunity on a specialized Telemetry Medical-Surgical Unit, designed for experienced RNs who want to provide top-tier cardiac and medical care without sacrificing their work-life balance. Requirements

  • A nursing degree from an approved school of nursing.
  • Current license to practice registered nursing in North Dakota or a compact state.
  • At least two (2) years of clinical experience in Telemetry, Med-Surg, or a related acute care specialty.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained shortly after hire).
  • A keen eye for cardiac rhythms, strong critical thinking, exceptional communication, adaptability to fluctuating patient needs, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • ACLS preferred or obtained within 6-12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Master Telemetry Monitoring: Expertly assess and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
  • Provide Advanced Medical Care: Manage complex medical conditions, administer medications, perform wound care, and provide comprehensive holistic care to a diverse patient population.
  • Be a Critical Responder: Utilize your sharp assessment skills to identify and quickly address emergent situations, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Excellence: Partner closely with physicians, cardiologists, specialists, and the entire care team, fostering seamless communication to deliver integrated, exceptional care.
  • Educate & Empower: Guide patients and their families through their care journey, explaining conditions, treatments, and home care instructions with empathy and clarity.
