About The Position

BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT/HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY UNIT: West Penn’s Bone Marrow Transplant/Hematology/Oncology Unit (T7) is a 20 bed unit for acute oncology patients. This unit specializes in advanced treatments for blood cancers. AHN is one of the state's largest stem cell transplant programs and nationally recognized in treating leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. This unit provides CAR T-cell therapy, stem cell transplants, and other therapies. Goal of those hired onto the unit will become competent in the administration of chemotherapy within one year of hire. Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Assesses patient reports/records change of condition and notifies physician and/or supervisor and intervenes appropriately and documents accordingly.
