About The Position
Tryfacta is seeking a RN Surgical Services for our client in Bethesda, MD 20892. This is a 13-week contract position with possible extension. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Intermittent on-call duties are required 14-17 times a month, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN exam.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross.
- 2-3 years of current acute care hospital operating room experience.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2+ years of surgical, perioperative, operating room (OR), or acute care nursing experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience in Pre-Op nursing.
- Experience in Intra-Op/Operating Room nursing.
- Experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Experience in Same-Day Surgery.
- Familiarity with surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient monitoring.
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification.
- RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients before surgery.
- Coordinate perioperative care.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia teams during procedures.
- Monitor patient safety and documentation.
- Provide post-operative care and education.
