About The Position

The Big Rapids Surgical Service department is a hospital-based unit providing both inpatient and outpatient surgical care. It includes 4 ORs, one of which is a dedicated C-section suite. The service lines encompass General, OB/GYNE, Ophthalmology, Urology, Orthopedics, and Podiatry. The interdisciplinary team is committed to delivering high-quality care with a strong emphasis on safety, transparency, and patient experience. Requirements

• Associates in Nursing Required
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months

• Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
• Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
