About The Position
The RN in the Surgical ICU (SICU) will provide high-quality, patient-focused care in a critical care setting. The role requires managing patients with complex medical conditions and emergencies.
Requirements
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience
- Active TX RN License (temporary licenses are not accepted)
- ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients condition and provide appropriate treatment
- Administer medications and manage life support equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient care planning
- Document patient care and condition using Meditech system
- Adhere to hospital and unit guidelines for patient safety and care
