In this role, you will deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
If performing moderate/procedural sedation must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
