About The Position

Join an exceptional team on our 5th Floor Med Surg/Telemetry unit, where collaboration, engagement, and a positive culture drive outstanding patient care. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN looking to expand their leadership skills while supporting a dynamic unit that cares for medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, and surgical overflow patients. Schedule: Two (2) 12-hour clinical shifts Two (2) 8-hour administrative shifts About the Unit: The 5th Floor Med Surg/Telemetry unit provides care to a diverse patient population, including telemetry and cardiac patients, while also supporting surgical overflow. The team is known for its strong culture, collaboration, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Your role as Nursing Supervisor involves supervising healthcare professionals and ensuring high patient care levels. Maintain a safe environment and nurture nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. Oversee operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities.

Requirements

  • Experienced RN with Med Surg and/or Telemetry experience
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a passion for developing others
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Committed to fostering a positive team environment and excellent patient outcomes
  • A solid understanding of nursing standards and patient care procedures.
  • Superb communication abilities and expertise in creating and assessing patient care plans.
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations and diverse medical and office software applications.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Two (2) Years of Experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operations, staffing, patient flow, and resource management.
  • Support quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to promote professional growth and engagement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care delivery.
  • Serve as a clinical leader and resource for staff during designated clinical shifts.
  • Partner with nursing leadership to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Working closely with members from different professional fields to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Assessing how effective the nursing practices are and infusing practices and research discoveries that are evidence-based.
  • Fostering a caring and outcome-promoting environment.
  • Encouraging development and opening up growth opportunities for staff members.
  • Efficiently managing resources to promote safety within the healthcare system.
