About The Position
The RN Supervisor leads the Nursing/Medical Services team at Harry Meyering Center, supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities across the Mankato area. The role focuses on setting clinical standards, mentoring RNs and support staff, and serving as a clinical presence for individuals and families. The position is primarily based in Mankato with occasional travel to Faribault.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current, unrestricted Minnesota RN license
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS Background Study
Nice To Haves
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience with 245D services or home and community-based care (we'll help you build this if you're new to it)
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and digital charting, or willing to learn
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor the Nursing/Medical Services team, including onboarding and coaching new staff
- Deliver and oversee nursing care in individuals' homes and communities, following each person's care plan
- Coordinate medications and treatments with providers and pharmacies, and keep medical records accurate and audit-ready
- Cover open shifts and rotate through on-call RN coverage, including emergency medical response when needed
- Monitor hospitalizations and recovery, and represent nursing in admissions, discharges, and care planning
- Champion safety and compliance, including CPR certification, HIPAA, and health and safety standards
