About The Position

The Brook Hospitals, established in 1985, is a 110-bed hospital providing comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment services. They offer inpatient, extended care, residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services for children, adolescents, and adults. The RN Day Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising nursing service activities to ensure quality patient care during off-shift hours. This role involves communication and documentation of these functions, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet patient needs, and potentially acting as a Charge Nurse during times of need. The supervisor is also responsible for ensuring the safety of all staff and patients/residents, serving as a role model and resource for staff, and acting as the administrative representative on off-shifts. Other duties as assigned. Hours may vary, requiring flexibility in availability.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
  • Working knowledge of Joint Commission, OSHA State and Federal regulations
  • Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
  • Good communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Basic clerical skills
  • Basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Ability to problem solve and accept feedback when circumstances warrant such actions
  • Willingness to interact with patients with varying levels of cognitive functioning

  • BSN preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in nursing management position preferred
