About The Position

IU Health Medical Group is seeking a collaborative and patient-focused RN Ambulatory Supervisor to support our busy Primary Care & Pediatrics practice in Mooresville, Indiana. This leadership role provides direct supervision and clinical oversight for a dedicated team of four Registered Nurses while partnering closely with providers and operational leaders to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced registered nurse with a passion for ambulatory care, team development, quality improvement, and patient-centered service. Prior leadership experience is preferred, as this role will serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and operational partner in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Requirements

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
  • Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
  • Two years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and development for a team of four Registered Nurses, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered culture.
  • Support the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based care in accordance with ANA standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, assisting with onboarding, coaching, performance management, and staff education.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, workflow efficiency, and patient outcomes.
  • Assist with daily clinic operations, including staffing coordination, workflow management, problem-solving, and resource allocation.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, patient experience goals, and operational performance metrics to ensure excellence in ambulatory care delivery.
