About The Position

This role involves assisting with the overall operation of the nursing department in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies. The RN Supervisor collaborates with physicians, families, and team members to deliver quality resident care, provides leadership to LPNs and CNAs, and plays a key role in resident transfers and family communication. The position also involves direct resident care, care planning, documentation, supply management, wound care, MAR verification, chart checks, and participation in facility surveys.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience in skilled nursing
Leadership skills
Knowledge of Mississippi Department of Health regulations
Knowledge of CMS guidelines
Proficiency in resident care planning, assessments, and documentation
Experience with wound care
Familiarity with MAR verification and chart checks

Responsibilities

Assist with directing the overall operation of the nursing department in accordance with current regulations and facility policies.
Collaborate with physicians, family members, and team members to provide quality resident care.
Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department, including LPNs, and CNAs.
Ensure compliance with Mississippi Department of Health regulations, CMS guidelines, and Orchard/ The Arbor standards.
Play a major role in resident transfers and family communication during process.
Assist in resident care as needed.
Assist with resident care planning, assessments, and documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with supply order accuracy and managing nursing supplies.
Provide direct wound care to residents as needed, including assessment, treatment, dressing changes, and documentation.
Complete MAR verification for accuracy after admission.
Conduct chart checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of nursing documentation.
Participate in facility surveys (inspections) and help develop plans of correction if necessary.
