About The Position

This nursing supervisor position is dedicated to providing quality care and excellent outcomes. RN Supervisor – Capacity Management Hub Part time Days Position Purpose: This leadership position directs patient care for the hospital making immediate administrative decisions and supporting senior leadership including Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents. Our Leaders deliver the support needed and work right alongside staff to provide a safe and efficient work environment. What you will do: Develop, coordinate, and implement staffing plan to ensure adequate care coverage to promote safe quality care coverage 24/7. Coordinate bed management for all admissions and transfers throughout the hospital to achieve most appropriate bed utilization. Coordinates and responds to urgent/emergent situations as evidenced by administrative support, reallocation of personnel and resources. Collaborate with others including peers, physician colleagues, and administrators. Attend and conduct nursing leadership rounds. Collaborate with unit leadership to achieve unit and organizational quality improvement and outcome-based initiatives. Responsible for collaboration, communication & facilitation of optimal provision of care in addition to being involved in the provision of direct care of patients and families. Ensures quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice. Ensure a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across the continuum. Participates in monitoring quality metrics specific to the department & ensure complete & accurate documentation in the patient record

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required with three to five years progressive experience in the field.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Maintains all licensures and certifications according to NYS regulations and specialty area requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree is a plus/requirement, depending on specific service needs and/or requirements.
• Ideally the candidate will have three to five years supervisory experience.
• Specialty credentialing & educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred.
• National certification is promoted and supported for clinical ladder growth.
