About The Position

The Corewell Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic at Grosse Pointe is a teaching clinic with resident physicians who practice alongside supervising physicians to improve healthcare through education and research. This partnership allows our physicians to provide quality care to all our patients. We have seen significant growth and advancement with planned additional growth and advancement throughout the residency practice. Our patients come from all backgrounds, and each have their own unique and often complex care needs. We serve the underserved and are proud to provide this service to our community. Our successful candidate will be an experienced nursing leader with a passion for ambulatory care and developing high-performing teams. They will be skilled in managing staffing needs, employee relations, and performance management while maintaining a positive and accountable work environment. This leader must be comfortable addressing difficult conversations, providing coaching and corrective action when needed, and ensuring operational and clinical standards are consistently met. The ability to balance staff engagement, patient satisfaction, and day-to-day operational demands will be critical to success in this role. The normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with some flexibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical (progressive care) experience Required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.

Nice To Haves

  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and organizes clinical personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization, in a cost-effective manner, and in conjunction with the operations manager where applicable.
  • Has responsibility for clinical operations.
  • Orients and trains clinical staff.
  • Ensures competency for excellence in clinical practice.
  • Develop process improvement initiatives based on best practice.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Supports quality patient care to meet regulatory guidelines.
  • Participates in Patient and Family Centered Care.
  • Aids individuals in a manner that considers their special or age-related needs.
