About The Position
The successful candidate will have a variety of duties, including but not limited to directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of all nursing staff engaged in a designated unit. This role holds authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall management of residents in a designated unit. The position is also responsible for transmitting each unit's staff concerns to the appropriate department supervisor and maintaining Resident Care Plans and the overall management of resident care.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required
- Must have a minimum of one year of experience in nursing service administration
- Must possess knowledge of state, federal, and local long-term care regulations
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
- Strong customer service skills and compassion
Nice To Haves
- Additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred
