Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
  • 2 Years staff RN Nursing experience
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Conduct timely and thorough patient assessments, including psychosocial and cultural needs, to develop individualized, age-specific care plans.
  • Provide basic patient care, execute physician's orders, and safely administer medications, including narcotics and blood products, with awareness of drug interactions.
  • Lead during emergencies, proactively address issues with the healthcare team, and intervene for high-risk patient problems.
  • Document all nursing interventions and patient responses effectively, and communicate critical information to physicians and colleagues promptly.
  • Educate patients and families on illness management and post-discharge care, including assessing and addressing complex learning needs.
  • Evaluate intervention effectiveness, recommend treatment improvements, and assess patient/family understanding of care.
