About The Position

Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle and addresses operational issues during the shift. Provides clinical care as needed based on census, communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to appropriate leaders, and serves as a resource to staff for guidance and assistance. The staff nurse uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; works within organizational policies and procedures; and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The nurse maintains standards of practice and coordinates assigned staff’s patient care activities to support quality nursing care.

Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Hold an active, unencumbered Georgia State Registered Nurse license or a multistate compact license.
• Hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Have a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Emergency Department setting.
• Have expert knowledge of cardiac rhythms and cardiovascular pharmacology.
• Demonstrate a high success rate with difficult IV sticks.
