About The Position

The Hospice House Staff Nurse - Night Shift (7pm-7am) is responsible for observing, assessing, documenting, and reporting resident conditions and/or changes. This role involves implementing the individualized Plan of Care, identifying significant changes in resident conditions and taking necessary action, and overseeing Certified Nurse Aides. The nurse will also discharge residents per facility procedures, complete nursing assessments for physician calls, and communicate with resident's Point of Contact regarding status updates or changes in condition. Additionally, the position may involve providing training to other staff, utilizing excellent customer care skills, timely submission of documentation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Current State Registered Nurse License
• Current Driver's License, reliable transportation, and provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience as an RN preferred in a healthcare/clinical setting

Responsibilities

• During rounds observes, assesses, documents and reports resident conditions and/or changes
• Implement the individualized Plan Of Care as directed
• Identify significant changes in the condition of residents and takes necessary action per facility policies and procedures
• Oversees and monitors Certified Nurse Aides
• Discharge residents per facility
• Completion of Nursing Assessment for Physician Calls prior to calling Physician on any change in resident condition
• Communicate with resident’s Point of Contact when they ask for status updates or if there is a change in condition
• Provide training to other staff as needed
• Utilize excellent customer care skills with internal and external customers, including using proper phone etiquette
• Timely submission of all documentation
• Performance of other duties as required
• Ensure overall compliance with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures
