Join Our Family Birth Center Team as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Randall Children’s Hospital. Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel is a regional center for the care of birthing persons, newborns, infants, children and teens. We offer unrivaled pediatric expertise in a state of- the-art facility designed exclusively for children. From routine care to the most complex cases, obstetricians, midwives, pediatricians and families trust us to provide the most advanced medical and surgical care for kids. As a vital member of our health care team, you’ll provide top-notch patient care within your assigned department or unit. Working closely with clinical managers and other healthcare professionals, you’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, always ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion. You’ll work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and support staff to create comprehensive care plans and deliver the best outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure.
  • At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • American Heart Association BLS required.
  • American Heart Association NRP required. May be hired with AHA/AAP Essential NRP, but must obtain Advanced NRP within 6 weeks or completion of orientation, whichever is longer. Travel nurses may continue to have Essential NRP if not performing in Charge, Neonatal Resuscitation, Baby, or NICU RN roles.
  • If recovering OB or Surgical patients, American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • STABLE within 6 months of hire.
  • Advance Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of labor training.
  • Ability to Scrub or scrub training within 6 months of hire (specific for Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital).
  • Current applicable state RN license required.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred. If you’re working towards your BSN, we encourage you to apply!

  • Refer to Womens Education Plan for ongoing competencies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care within your assigned department/unit.
  • Collaborate with the health care team under the guidance of the clinical manager or designee.
  • Adhere to the Standards and Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses.
  • Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Follow established patient care standards for Legacy Health System, including patient assessment and transfer protocols.
