About The Position

Legacy Health is seeking a dedicated RN Staff Nurse for their Cardiac Cath Lab. This role involves working closely with Angiography, Cardiovascular, and Electrophysiology Technologists to deliver high-quality care using advanced technologies for diagnosis and treatment. The Cardiovascular and Hybrid Labs offer a dynamic, team-based environment focused on excellence and patient-centered outcomes. Requirements

  • Current applicable state RN license required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association.
  • One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum, and duration.
  • Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred.
  • BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Responsibilities

  • Provides care across all Cath Lab service lines and patient populations, excluding those at Emanuel and Randall Children’s Hospitals.
  • Supports a comprehensive range of procedures, including: Interventional cardiology, Vascular procedures, Adult and pediatric interventional radiology, Adult and pediatric interventional neuroradiology, Adult and pediatric electrophysiology, Structural heart interventions, Pediatric and congenital interventional cardiology.
  • Delivers direct patient care in the assigned Hospital Cath Lab setting.
  • Functions as a key member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, in collaboration with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee.
  • Adheres to the Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse.
  • Performs all phases of the nursing process: Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
  • Follows Legacy Health System standards, including those for patient assessment and patient transfer.
