RN Staff - Labor & Delivery - FT -3rd Shift
About The Position
The Labor & Delivery RN is skilled in caring for pregnant patients during labor, obstetrical emergencies, and other obstetric conditions. In addition to assisting women throughout labor and the birthing process, the L&D RN plays an active role in cesarean section deliveries as the patient’s circulating nurse as well as the scrub nurse that assists the physician with the birth of the infant and the repair of the mother. They provide incredible patient support, critical nursing care, and comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum education. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift, and strives to provide clinical and service excellence. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
Requirements
- Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
- BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
