About The Position

Provides direct patient care in the Interventional Radiology specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization's policies, values, and mission. The role is based in Miramar, Florida, and works day shift. The nurse collaborates with other disciplines, plans and evaluates care, monitors and communicates patient condition, and supports patients and families through education and coordination of care. This position requires one year of nursing experience and an accredited nursing program. Applicable certifications and licenses are required, with department-specific credential requirements depending on duties and specialty.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• One year of nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse license for Florida or a Registered Nurse Compact multistate license.
• Basic Life Support certification from an accepted provider listed in the posting.
• Requires critical thinking and effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines as needed to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate the learning needs of patients and families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Delegate patient care effectively to ancillary personnel.
• Precept student nurses and new hires as applicable.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
