About The Position
Full-time seasonal contracts for experienced Labor and Delivery Nurses. This is a 13-week contract with a completion bonus of $1500.00. The position is Full-Time, 36 hours per week, with Day and Night Shifts Available. Work with an amazing team of professionals in a fast-paced, high acuity Labor and Delivery department. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a Level One, 630-bed multi-specialty care, teaching hospital. We are a Level 4 Maternal Care Designated facility.
Requirements
- A degree from an accredited RN program
- A valid Registered Nurse license
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- 2 Years of current Labor and Delivery RN experience required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Level 3 or 4 designated care level highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, and implement care plans.
- Monitor patient progress.
- Help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications.
- Understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.
- Conduct thorough assessments following practice standards using good judgment and clinical reasoning.
- Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
- Create safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
- Manage emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
