About The Position

Full-time seasonal contracts for experienced Labor and Delivery Nurses. 13- week Contract Completion bonus of $1500.00 Status: Full-Time, 36 hours per week Shift: Day and Night Shifts Available Work with amazing team of professionals in a fast-paced, high acuity Labor and Delivery department Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a Level One, 630-bed multi-specialty care, teaching hospital. Job Summary As a Seasonal RN, you align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, implement care plans. Monitor patient progress is also vital. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • A degree from a accredited RN program
  • A valid Registered Nurse license
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • 2 Year of current Labor and Delivery RN experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standards and procedures in nursing and patient care.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate thoughts clearly and interact with diverse groups of people.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to provide quality patient care.
  • Flexibility and excellent communication for sharing changes in patient health conditions promptly and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Expereince in a Level 3 or 4 designated care level highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
  • Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
  • Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
  • Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
