As a member of the interdisciplinary team, this role contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process. The nurse will assess patient status, develop and implement care plans, document progress, and collaborate with healthcare team members. They will also be responsible for patient education, ensuring safety, and participating in performance improvement activities. This role requires active participation in data collection, analysis, and problem-solving to improve processes and patient satisfaction. The nurse will ensure care is consistent with standards of care, evidence-based practices, and national patient safety goals. They will also advocate for patients, promote customer satisfaction, and participate in unit-based councils and process improvement initiatives.
