The Legacy nursing philosophy centers on patients and their families, with nurses serving as advocates, communicators, problem-solvers, and caregivers. This role is part of Unity, which is dedicated to trauma-informed care and destigmatizing behavioral health diagnoses. Unity nurses are expected to innovate and elevate behavioral health nursing through holistic treatment, high-level critical thinking, individualized patient care plans, early interventions, specialized assessments, de-escalation, and motivational interviewing techniques. They also maintain physical health skills, including assessment, wound care, and phlebotomy, as part of comprehensive patient care. The team welcomes nurses who share values of inclusion, kindness, and excellence, and have a passion for the behavioral health population. Patients are highly acute and often require intensive interventions for stabilization. The four adult units serve voluntary and involuntary patients aged 18 and older, with capacities ranging from 17 to 25 private and shared beds. Inpatient care extends beyond medication management to include specialized nursing care, care management, peer support services, multiple daily groups, animal therapy, and garden therapy. Nursing is a vital component of the interdisciplinary treatment team, collaborating with patients on their recovery journey. This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse on the Resource Team.
