About The Position

The Resource Center is comprised of Nurses, Nurse Technicians, and Unit Secretaries who provide support to units experiencing the greatest need on a daily basis at both Butterworth and Blodgett Hospitals. Team members in this department care for diverse patient populations, gaining experience across various units each day. The Resource Center team's assistance and expertise are highly valued by patients, families, and fellow team members.

Requirements

• Associate degree Nursing Required
• Bachelor’s in Nursing Required within 5 years
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Required
• Registered Nurse (RN) State of Michigan Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) All unless otherwise noted 90 Days Required
• 2 years of inpatient RN experience Required

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
• Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
