About The Position
Evaluates patient referrals for Inpatient Rehabilitation admission according to standardized criteria and coordinates specialized activities/services/equipment to achieve efficient and effective outcomes after transfer. Communicates with insurance provider and validates benefits as necessary.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- Current Alabama RN license OR Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama
- Certified Rehab Nurse OR Certified Rehab Nurse within 18 months of entry into position
Nice To Haves
- BSN
- Considerable knowledge of acute care med-surg nursing
- Knowledge of Inpatient Rehabilitation Medicare admission criteria
