About The Position

This position is responsible for providing PICC line and midline insertions within the hospital. The role will also assist hospital staff with the insertion of peripheral IV sites and troubleshooting Central Lines. Additionally, there is an opportunity for cross-training to the Interventional Radiology (IR) department to provide procedure and schedule support on weekends.

Requirements

  • Current State Registered Nurse License or permit from State Board of Nursing required.
  • Completion of PICC course post hire.
  • Demonstrated competence in an acute patient care setting for at least one year in a medical, surgical, or intensive care setting.
  • Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
  • Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
  • Completes Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association within 6 months of hire and maintains current status.
  • Completes Level II Cardiac Dysrhythmias and Management class or equivalent within 3 months of hire, and annual skill validation for Cardiac Dysrhythmias.
