About The Position

Harborview's Hand, Foot, & Ankle Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time Registered Nurse (RN). The clinic is located in the Ninth & Jefferson building across from Harborview Medical Center and provides consultation and surgical treatment for complex foot and ankle reconstruction, including arthritis, deformities, genetic anomalies, sports injuries and traumatic injury. It also offers podiatry services and non-surgical treatments, partnering with patients to develop individualized treatment plans for foot and ankle mobility and function. The Physical and Hand Therapy Clinic at Harborview Medical Center offers top-notch care to patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries or issues, with skilled and experienced therapists evaluating conditions and developing treatment plans. As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine, dedicated to providing specialized care for patients throughout the Pacific Northwest, including vulnerable residents of King County. Requirements

  • Active, valid Washington State or Multi-state RN license required by start date
  • At least 2 years of outpatient or inpatient RN work experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of care and the education of patients during the pre-surgical and post-surgical period
  • Interacts professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care
  • Lead in patient assessment and the flow of the clinics
  • Triage patients for post surgical complications or wound infections
  • Communicates appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, manager, co-workers, physicians and all members of the health care interdisciplinary team
