The Cardiovascular OR sees a diverse population of patients with various cardiovascular related concerns and conditions. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers and staff in ensuring patients, families and visitors have the best possible experience before, during and after treatment. Utilizing your nursing skills and knowledge, you can leave a lasting impact on everyone you meet, all while pursuing advanced education and professional development initiatives. A caregiver in this position works days from 6:00AM – 2:30PM, with on-call requirements.
Requirements
- A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR OF RECENT RN EXPERIENCE IN A CARDIOVASCULAR OPERATING ROOM IS REQUIRED
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
