RN - Registered Nurse - Cardiac ICU (CCU)
About The Position
The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina and congestive heart failure. We also care for many other critically ill patients suffering from severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease and life-threatening arrhythmias. This is a cardiac medicine unit, therefore patients post- CABG, valve replacements, transplant, LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery. Requirements
- At least 1-year recent PCCU or MPCU or IMC experience required - CCU experience preferred
- Baccalaureate degree, in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred and Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered. per nursing guidelines, must matriculate to Bachelors of Nursing program.
- Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire
- Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire
- Authorization to Work: Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.
