The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in our Radiation Therapy department providing holistic, quality nursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patient population within the Radiation Therapy Department. Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist the Registered Nurse (RN) will assess and identify actual or potential problems a patient may be experiencing, develop a plan of care, monitor the effectiveness of the interventions during the course of treatment and throughout follow up care. Hartford HealthCare is set to open a new state-of-the-art cancer center at 4185 Black Rock Turnpike near the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield in April 2025. The 25,000-square-foot facility will offer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, surgical consultations, imaging and laboratory testing on site. The Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute at St. Vincent’s Medical Center has been designated as the first Care Partner of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in the United States.
