About The Position

We’re currently hiring RNs for a full-time permanent opportunity with a well-established health care organization located in the Gainesville, FL area! This role involves assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the care of Pulmonary patients. Responsibilities include instructing patients and families on medications and treatment plans, maintaining patient records, and administering medications as per physician orders.

Requirements

• 1 year of RN experience required (any setting: LTAC, SNF, Home Health, etc.).
• Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure (FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if holding a compact license).
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required.
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• NIHSS certification required (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions.
• PC skills.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Pulmonary patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
