About The Position

Renders nursing care to patients in the pre-procedure area, procedure room, recovery room in terms of individual needs, according to standard techniques and established policies and procedures. Works cooperatively with physicians and other staff members. Provides patient care in the Endoscopy Center under the direction of the RNs and the physicians. Oversees LPNs and reviews documentation in the EMR. Practices effective interpersonal communication skills. Maintains clinical and professional competency according to policy, procedure, and protocols and as appropriate for the ages of patients served. Performs job duties in compliance with established safety and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Completion of an RN or LPN program leading to RN / LPN licensure with the NC Board of Nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs and is able to modify patient care accordingly.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certification is preferred
• Previous endoscopy experience preferred.
• Computer skills with solid keyboard skills and experience with EndoSoft and eClinicalworks is preferred.
