About The Position

Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art medical campus that includes Diagnostic Centers, Outpatient Surgery and a 24-hour Emergency Department. With a dedicated Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU), Martin North Hospital is considered the cardiac hub of Cleveland Clinic Martin Health. As an RN on the CVPUC team, you will care for patients with cardiac-related diseases, ensuring they feel comfortable, secure and supported throughout treatment. That’s why we offer a variety of PRN shift options—including staggered start times, flexible shift lengths, and specialized assignments—to fit your lifestyle. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying days from 7:00AM – 7:30PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS American Red Cross certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment based on the department service level RN is hired into
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Externship experience in the ICU

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
