About The Position

The RN – Primary Care provides direct nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting, supporting providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. This role involves clinical responsibilities, care coordination, and operational support within a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred
Active, unrestricted RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Completion of required clinical and high-risk competencies within designated timeframe
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Proficiency with medical equipment and EMR systems

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting
Assist providers and clinic staff with patient care delivery
Perform nursing duties including assessments, treatments, and documentation
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all patient care activities
Support daily clinic operations, including patient flow and front desk coordination
Oversee opening and closing of clinic activities
Maintain medication inventory and clinic supplies
Ensure proper functioning of point-of-care testing and quality controls
Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and other departments
Anticipate provider and patient needs to maintain smooth workflow
Serve as a resource for patients and team members
Support team-based care delivery
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Participate in required training, competencies, and staff meetings
Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and clinical risks
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards
