About The Position

Everest Surgery Center is seeking a Full-Time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at our brand-new, 3-operating-room ophthalmic ambulatory surgery center in Midlothian, Texas. We are an ACHC-accredited facility focused on providing exceptional patient care in a professional, collaborative, and patient-centered environment. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care throughout the patient's surgical experience, including pre-operative assessment, IV insertion, medication administration, monitoring patients before and after surgery, post-anesthesia recovery, discharge assessment, patient and family education, clinical documentation, and communication with the surgical team. The position also requires maintaining patient safety, adhering to ASC policies, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Texas RN license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Demonstrated IV start skills
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Nice To Haves

  • BSN
  • Previous ophthalmology experience
  • Previous ASC, Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing experience
  • Experience caring for patients receiving anesthesia or procedural sedation

Responsibilities
