RN PreOp/PACU
About The Position
The Pre-Op and Phase II Recovery unit consists of 14 rooms housed together, allowing for continuity of care by assigning the same nurse to a patient before and after their procedure whenever possible. This role requires previous critical care or recovery experience, strong clinical knowledge of the perioperative experience, good organizational and multitasking skills to handle frequent interruptions, flexibility with working hours, and a positive attitude with good communication skills. The nurse must be willing and capable of working in both pre- and post-operative areas and be committed to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Kentucky
- BCLS required
- ACLS and PALS required
- Proficient in starting IV's
- Minimum of one year RN experience in PACU or ICU setting
- Previous critical care or recovery experience
- Good organizational skills
- Flexible working hours
- Positive attitude with good communication skills
