About The Position

This is a Full Time, benefited PreOp/PACU position working at Scripps Jefferson Clinic in Oceanside. No weekends or call. The varied 4 days- 10 hour shift starts between 6:15 am - 7:30am and equals 80 hours per 2 week pay period. This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives up to $7,000. The new 85,915-square-foot, three-story site is designed as a one-stop-shop for patients, with a wide range of outpatient services including primary care, cardiology, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and pediatrics, along with comprehensive imaging, outpatient surgery, urgent care, and same-day walk-in care through Scripps HealthExpress. PACU at 78/Jefferson supports 4 ORs and 2 GIs Rooms. General Surgery, GI, Ortho, GYN, ENT, Sports Medicine, and total joints down the line.

Requirements

Current CA RN license
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certificate and ACLS certificate
Completion of accredited RN program
Minimum 1 year RN experience

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year RN experience
Experience in a PreOP/PACU setting

Responsibilities

Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.
Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting.
Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration.
Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
