About The Position

The RN Pre-Op/PACU is a Registered Nurse who provides quality, safe, effective, and patient- and family-centered care across patient populations in perioperative services. Care is provided using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The nurse supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values and reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

This role requires the ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position, including exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions. Working irregular hours and shifts longer than eight hours may be required. Attendance is an essential function. Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state.
• At least one year of progressive work experience in a perioperative, critical care, or emergency room setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• PALS certification within one year of hire.
• Physical and mental health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
• Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling patients or equipment up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work irregular hours and shifts longer than eight hours.
