About The Position

Located on the second floor at Freeman Hospital West, this is a fast-paced department that provides exceptional care to patients throughout their surgical journey- from preoperative preparation to post-anesthesia recovery. The team supports a wide range of surgical and endoscopy procedures offering exposure to diverse specialties and a collaborative, high energy environment. Different shift options are available to accommodate flexible scheduling needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about patient care, thriving in a fast-paced setting, and who is team-oriented.

Requirements

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or current Registered Nurse License from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
• AHA ACLS within 180 days.
• AHA BLS for healthcare providers within 30 days.
• AHA PALS provider within 180 days.
• Perioperative RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.

Responsibilities

• In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families, plans and implements appropriate interventions, and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.
