About The Position

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is a Magnet Hospital awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Postpartum/Nursery Unit offers family-centered maternity care with 41 recently renovated private-bed rooms. The unit provides couplet care by highly educated registered nurses and skilled support staff, with 24/7 nursery staffing, physician experts in maternal/fetal medicine for consultations, and 24/7 neonatology care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As an RN on this team, you will assist in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding, and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire
One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns
Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol
